A Year of Hard Work
Much Has Happened In and Around Overlook Lodge at Edersee
Even though things have been very quiet here on the site over the past few months, a great deal has happened. We have continued to work diligently on Overlook Lodge, our vision of a vacation home.

Our 2nd Project, Apartment 54
A 3-Month Interim Construction Project at Our Vacation Apartment in Bad Arolsen
- 99 kWp PV system with storage units
- Roof renovation of the garages
- Heat pump cascade
- New electrical installation
Together with Energie360 from Korbach, we have spent the last 3 months wiring, excavating, shoveling, screwing, drilling, pressing, laughing, and sweating.
A new 99 kWp PV system with storage was installed there, so we can now generate and use a large portion of our own energy (the remaining electricity required is 100% green power, as before).
To install the more than 220 PV modules, the employees of Energie360 performed a complete roof renovation on two garage blocks and then routed the cables into the house via a 120m long trench. Here, a new house distribution system with transformer metering was installed at the newly established service connection of the local energy provider, along with the SolarEdge inverters and storage units.
For the building where Apartment 54 is located, we decided to install a heat pump cascade for heating and hot water production. This work was also carried out by Energie360.
At this point, a big thank you to all the employees at Energie360. The entire process with you—from consultation and the quote to execution and commissioning—was absolutely exemplary!
