Actually, a girls' night was planned, but sometimes things turn out differently. 😄 I needed accommodation for guests at very short notice and booked the Overlook Lodge at lunchtime. My guests arrived that same evening, and everything worked out completely smoothly despite the short notice.
The house is truly wonderful and furnished with great attention to detail. The layout with three bedrooms and three private bathrooms is particularly practical. Everything else has also been thought of. From sparkling water directly from the tap to the whiskey bar, you really won't miss anything there.
My guests felt completely at home and were absolutely thrilled with the house. Sabine and Michael are also incredibly kind hosts and took great care of everything. Thank you again for making their stay possible on such short notice! 😊

We spent a week with the whole family, including grandparents, at Overlook Lodge and had a thoroughly wonderful time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this exclusive vacation home on Edersee. The house is furnished to a high standard, extremely clean, and equipped with great attention to detail. The quiet location invites relaxation and is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours, and excursions around Edersee.
We particularly liked the modern amenities, the cozy atmosphere, and the beautiful surroundings. Communication with the hosts was friendly and uncomplicated.
A small note for future guests: There is no grocery store in the immediate vicinity. If you are traveling without a car or want to self-cater, you should do your shopping before arrival. For us, this was not a problem and did not detract from the overall excellent impression of the accommodation.
We would come back anytime and can unreservedly recommend the vacation home.

I had the pleasure of taking the promotional photos for this beautiful vacation home, so I truly know every corner. Although I haven't stayed overnight yet, our girls' weekend is already firmly planned. It is a true dream house with very lovely hosts!
Everything is incredibly well thought out and created with great attention to detail. The bedrooms are modern and cozy, and each has its own bathroom. Additionally, there is a sauna, a whirlpool, a bicycle workshop, a yoga platform, and a garden where you can even snack during harvest time.
The location is perfect for tours through the Kellerwald and around the Edersee. There are countless cycling routes, and afterwards, you can relax wonderfully or end the evening at the great barbecue area. It's also really cool that guests have free admission to the outdoor pool right next door.
Thank you for the kind words 🙂 It was truly lovely having you take the photos here. Since you've seen the lodge from every angle, your feedback means all the more to us.
The fact that you've already planned your girls' weekend makes us very happy, of course. We look forward to having you here soon. Thank you again for your time and your great photos.

It's great to hear that you can switch off well here and that you like the location and the concept. It is exactly these moments away from everyday life that make the place special for many.
We also hope, of course, that the lodge remains for a long time and look forward to many more visits from you.

We spent a weekend with six people in this lodge. The lodge is more than comfortable, rather luxuriously equipped, and is excellent for a relaxed vacation in a beautiful location. The hosts have really thought of everything. The rooms are very tastefully and comfortably furnished. For cleanliness, there are ten out of ten possible points. We felt very comfortable there and will also come back.

Six of us (3 couples) were guests at Overlook Lodge over the turn of the year. The house is stylishly and high-quality furnished and equipped with modern technology. Everyone felt very comfortable here. Communication with the hosts was uncomplicated and very friendly. We were also very pleased that the hosts had already thought of many details that might be needed during the stay (coffee, spices, bathroom and kitchen utensils, etc., right down to small welcome gifts from the region).
We can recommend the vacation home without reservation.

We were at Overlook Lodge during the Christmas holidays and we were thrilled, having had over 15 years of experience in vacation rentals. From the payment, advance information, and clear instructions, we had good organization from the hosts from the start. The property is easy to use and delivers what it promises. Technically at a very good level, very clean, and everything was very well thought out here. We had our fun and our relaxation.

Great vacation home! Super clean, modernly furnished, and everything there that you need—from the kitchen to the cozy living room. We had a really good time, could do a lot in the area: hiking, visiting Edersee, exploring Kellerwald—really great!
Only small minus point: The house is on a slope, the many stairs were a bit strenuous for Grandma. But honestly—as soon as you're inside, you forget that immediately. We'd love to come back!
Thank you for your nice feedback! We can well understand the stairs due to the hillside location—but you are rewarded with a great view. We are all the more pleased that you felt comfortable in the house immediately. We look forward to your return!

This year we chose this vacation home for our annual "former colleagues" meeting. We liked it very much. We can recommend the house with a clear conscience. There were 5 of us and we lacked nothing.

It absolutely knocks your socks off! It was a truly extraordinary stay in the vacation home. The interior is beautiful & very tasteful—we ran out of adjectives from all the amazement. Nothing is missing in the amenities and everything is incredibly high-quality. None of us have ever seen a comparable vacation home!
It was perfect for our short girls' weekend; we were very sad not to be able to stay longer. But we are all the more looking forward to coming back sometime and then using all the many possibilities in the house.
Dear Aline, thank you for your wonderful words! We are thrilled that your girls' weekend was so extraordinary and that you felt completely comfortable. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Authentic Germany! We had a great experience at the Overlook Lodge. It was a great way to experience the real Germany away from the cities and the typical tourist traps. The owners know English also and that made our visit even easier!

Absolutely gorgeous house in an equally gorgeous area. It was so peaceful. The hosts thought of every amenity and every room was comfortable. We loved the sauna and gameroom and especially sitting on the porch watching the sunset. A total bargain. As a bonus, the hidden movie references were next-level. 100% recommend this stay and can't wait to come back.
